CLIC me baby one more time...............CLIC charity bed push from The Feathers, Coleford, 27th August 2011.

CLIC me baby one more time……………
Britney Spears look alike for the day, Stan Halford of The Feathers in Coleford, along with his partner Sue Aston, organised a charity bed push to raise money for the childrens charity CLIC Sargent.

Stan and Sue together with over twenty of their regulars, all in fancy dress, generously gave up their Bank Holiday Saturday for the charity event which took place around Coleford. Starting with a bed push that visited the pubs of Coleford, before taking a route up Sunnybank to Christchurch, then Berry Hill, continuing to Five Acres, Mile End and Coalway, before returning to Coleford after the last stop at The Bells Hotel.
“This is our second bed push and third charity event” said Stan Halford. “We have previously managed to raise nearly ?2500 for charity before today. To mark our second anniversary at The Feathers we wanted to make an extra effort to exceed our previous totals”, Sue continued.

The fund raising continued through to the evening with raffles, sponsored waxing and head shaving, and many prizes up for auction .

“We anticipate that we will have raised well in excess of ?1000 on the day for CLIC Sargent. I would like to thank all the local businesses who donated prizes so generously, all of the individuals we harassed for money during the day, and to our regulars who gave their time so generously on a Bank Holiday weekend, and especially to The Globe for the well needed food and refreshments they provided.” Stan and Sue concluded.

[256/365] [Babies-Pulp Week 38 Musically Challenged]

[256/365] [Babies-Pulp Week 38 Musically Challenged]

"Oh I want to take you home.
I want to give you children.
You might be my girlfriend, yeah"

That's my favorite part. Here's the whole song:

"Babies"-Pulp
Well it happened years ago,
when you lived on Stanhope Road.
We listened to your sister,
when she came home from school,
cos she was two years older,
and she had boys in her room.
We listened outside and heard her.
Alright.
Well that was alright for a while,
but soon I wanted more.
I want to see as well as hear,
and so I hid inside her wardrobe.
And she came HOME round four,
and she was with some kid called David,
from the garage up the road.
I listened outside I heard her.
Alright.

Oh I want to take you home.
I want to give you children.
You might be my girlfriend, yeah.

When I saw you next day,
I really couldn't tell,
cos you might go and tell your mother.
And so you went with Neve,
and Neve was coming on,
and I thought I heard you laughing,
when his Mum and Dad were gone.
I listened outside, I heard you.
Alright.

Oh I want to take you home.
I want to give you children.
You might be my girlfriend, yeah.

Well I guess it couldn't last too long.
I came home one day,
and all her things were gone,
I fell asleep inside.
I never heard her come.
And then she opened up her wardrobe,
and I had to get it on.
Oh, listen
we were on the bed when you came home,
I heard you stop outside the door.
I know you won't believe it's true,
I only went with her 'cos she looks like you.
Oh I want to take you home.
I want to give you children.
You might be my girlfriend, yeah.

Mattel Barbie Island Princess Magical Castle Vanity

Due to size: ships in original manufacturer's box (no additional cardboard box). Mattel Barbie Island Princess Magical Castle Vanity. Inspired by the DVD, Barbie as The Island Princess, the magical castle vanity offers 2-in-1 play, perfect for playing out scenes from the movie or getting ready! Compartments in the vanity open to reveal hidden castle rooms such as a princess bedroom that plays music when the bed is revealed and other surprises such as jewelry. Castle vanity also comes with a hairbrush and animal friends from the movie.

Everyone knows that little girls love to dress up their Barbie dolls for a date with Ken, a night out with girlfriends, or to just go shopping. Now those same girls can ready themselves instead at this Island Princess vanity. At 32" tall, it’s the perfect size for a young girl to sit down in front of using the included stool, and the various secret compartments, hidden treasures, and centered mirror will provide hours of entertainment.
Inspired by the 2007 fall release of the Barbie as The Island Princess DVD movie (in which Barbie takes on the role of Princess Rosella), this vanity features a white top with scalloped edges and bright blue and lavender towers along the back that hold surprises. Compartments are hiding things like castle rooms, jewelry, and animal friends featured in the film. Pull out the center drawer and lower the mirror to discover Princess Rosella’s room and hear music from the movie. Even the top of the vanity stool opens, making it the perfect place to stash the included hairbrush when it’s not being used.
Two in one fun allows girls to not just primp and role play, but to also use the vanity to reenact scenes from the movie, which includes new songs, with their favorite Barbie. Dolls are not included with this vanity set, but Princess Rosella and Prince Antonio can be purchased separately.

The sit down vanity opens up to reveal castle rooms, a bed, animal friends, and other hidden treasures. View larger.
